I used 4 gold chargers from the thrift store as my backgrounds for some animals looking for love. I piped the roses ahead of time, using thick Gaffrey sculptural acrylics. After they dried, I peeled them up to add to the bouquets of each animal. This llama is quite lovely with her rose bouquet on her head. He will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard package, insured for his journey. Or you can pick him up in person for a 10% discount.
Acrylics on a rescued 13” charger
To make Gallant Goat and his 3 friends, I took some gold chargers from the thrift store and lightly sanded them, to give the paint something to stick to. I drilled a hole in each charger and threaded hanging wire and a bead through so the chargers could hang on the wall. Then I drew each animal. I painted all 4 critters at the same time, treating them like a 4 part painting.
