I keep experimenting with ways to use paint skins, the leftover paint dried to the side of an empty paint bucket. This might be one of my favorites of those experiments.
The stylized feathers and rough paint skin flowers are pleasing to me. Then I added some piped details on the flowers. So happy with the results!

I used paint skins to make flowers for the bodies of these 3 water birds. Two of them are on old cabinet doors, and they all have gold painted frames.
I like the grace of these long neck birds, the stylized feathers, and the rough edges of the flowers.
The 3 paintings in this miniseries are listed separately. They are Flamboyant Francine (flamingo), Felicity (Tri-Colored Heron), and Felipe (Small Blue Heron).
Shipping is covered by the listed price. I build a custom box for each painting, wrap it in bubble wrap or other padding, and wrap the box in contractor’s paper. The art is insured for the journey and shipped with USPS.
