This is my first fully developed shark painting. I decided to really push the texture on the water. I think the texture and paint strokes give this piece a feeling of movement, of speed. It’s hard to capture all the texture with a camera.
For the title, the song lyrics were going through my head, “Free your mind and the rest will follow. Be color blind, don’t be so shallow.” I looked it up and sharks are, indeed, color blind. Perfect!
