I did a collection of watercolor paintings for a solo show at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens in Huntsville, AL. This collection features realistic Central images with stylized zen tangle backgrounds. Each painting has a Bible verse or positive quote hidden in it. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens... a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance...” Ecclesiastes 3:1,4 I have painted verses from Ecc 3 several times through the years. I keep going back to the concept of seasons in our lives and God’s timing. Also I absolutely hated this painting and put it aside in disgust for months. Then I pulled it out on a rainy day and added all the designs in the background. Now I really like it. So, for me, more is more. 😁
